The Police Department reported a pedestrian crash on Sunday.
According to reports, a man traveling south struck a car that was stopped in the middle of the road and then claimed that someone was lying unconscious next to the car.
Minutes later, police arrived and discovered the man giving CPR.
In spite of this, the victim was declared dead right away.
The passenger was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
The identity and condition of the victim have not been released.
The driver was detained on suspicion of vehicular murder and driving under the influence.
