According to the Clarksville Police Department, a pedestrian accident was reported on Friday morning.
The officials stated that a motorist suddenly stopped in the middle of the road after finding a man lying on the ground.
The officials reported that at around 3:30 a.m. a man was found unconscious in the middle of Wilma Rudolph Boulevard.
The man had wounds on the back of his head stated the reports.
The injured victim was taken to Nashville hospital via helicopter.
Officials did not provide the identity of the injured victim.
The suspect is still on the run stated the Police.
