According to the Pittsburg Police Department, a multi-vehicle accident occurred in Pittsburg on Tuesday.
The crash happened on Pittsburg-Antioch Highway located just north of Highway 4.
The officials stated that a car and a bus were involved in the collision while avoiding the debris.
According to the Authorities, a large box of construction material was dumped illegally causing a safety hazard.
The passenger of the bus suffered major injuries and was rushed to the hospital.
The officials are investigating whether drugs, alcohol, distracted driving, or speed played a factor in the crash.
