The Metro Nashville Police reported a two-vehicle collision on Friday.
The accident occurred on Dickerson Pike and Grace Street at around 2:45 a.m.
According to the officials, the two cars were involved in a head-on collision.
One person was injured and was taken to a hospital. The extent of their injuries has not been reported.
The identity of the victim has not been disclosed.
The cause of the accident is being investigated.
It is not known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the accident.
Dickerson Pike remained closed for several hours while the police investigated the crash and the debris was being cleared by crews.
