According to Bakersfield Police Deaprtment, a multi-vehicle accident was reported southwest Bakersfield Monday evening.
The officials reported that the crash happened on Stine Road between Pacheco Road and District Boulevard at around 7:37 p.m.
One person was seriously injured in the three-vehicle collision.
The officials did not disclose the identity of the victim involved in the crash.
The Police stated that the victim involved in the crash was taken to a local hospital.
The Bakersfield Police Department stated that speed could be the factor involved in the crash.
An investigation is ongoing to determine whether drugs or alcohol were involved in the crash.
