A protester was struck by a motor vehicle during a rally in Tacoma’s Hilltop neighbourhood.
According to the organizers, Tacoma Police failed to attend to the incident at the right time.
The demonstration of the protest was held at Martin Luther King Jr. Way and South 19th Street, near The Fish House Cafe and Speed- E-Mart.
A car was unable to move in the traffic caused by the rally.
The driver moved the vehicle and then stopped for a moment. The driver of the vehicle started driving forward and hit the organizer.
Following the motor vehicle crash, the driver grabbed the hand of the victim and carried it a few meters ahead.
The organizers reported that the victim sprained their wrist and shoulder.
The driver then fled the scene.
According to the Tacoma Action Collective, an officer was on duty at the time of the incident yet did not take action.
