1 Person Injured In A Motor-Vehicle Accident In Santa Cruz (Santa Cruz, CA)

The Santa Cruz Police Department responded to a motor-vehicle crash that occurred on the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. 

The crash happened at the San Lorenzo River Railroad bridge involving a red Toyota Prius. 

A 20-year-old man was identified as the driver of the car. 

The passenger in the car suffered major injuries and was rushed to the trauma center in serious condition. 

The identity of the victim was not revealed by the Santa Cruz Police Department.

The officials stated that alcohol, distracted driving, and speed played a factor in the crash. 

No additional information regarding the crash was provided by the Deputies.
