The Anaheim Police Department reported a motor vehicle accident on Wednesday.
The accident occurred at Rio Vista Street and South Lane. There was a street takeover happening in the area.
When the police arrived to disperse the crowd, a red Mustang struck a bystander while trying to flee the scene.
The victim incurred serious injuries and was taken to the hospital.
The officials have reported that the victim sustained a broken leg. The identity of the victim has not been disclosed.
The driver of the red Mustang was aught before he fled. They were taken into custody.
The accident is being investigated.
It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the accident.
