1 Person Injured In A Bicycle Crash In East Bakersfield (Bakersfield, CA)

The California Highway Patrol responded to a bicycle accident in an alley in East Bakersfield. The accident occurred just before 8 a.m. that killed a man. 

The CHP responded to a call from North of Pearl Street, near Robinson Street. A man was found dead in the alley minutes after the patrol arrived. A 40-year-old man riding westbound in the alleyway was identified as the victim. 

The man was struck by a vehicle, but the cause of the crash was not identified. After the collision, the vehicle fled the scene. The other details relating to the incident are unknown.

No arrests have been made so far.

The investigation is ongoing.
