1 person injured after being hit by a vehicle in Santa Clarita (Santa Clarita, CA)

One person was injured after being hit by a Los Angeles County Fire Department vehicle Friday morning in Santa Clarita.

As per the initial information, the authorities actively responded to the area on Shangri La Drive near Soledad Canyon Road at about 9:25 a.m. Friday on reports of an auto-pedestrian accident. The early reports showed that the pedestrian was struck by a Los Angeles County Fire Department vehicle that was responding to a medical emergency Friday morning in Santa Clarita.

The Fire Department unit was responding to a possible cardiac arrest call on Pleasantdale Street before the pedestrian was hit. One person was taken to the hospital in unknown condition. No other information is available.

An investigation is ongoing.
