1 person injured after an auto-pedestrian accident in the University area (Memphis, TN)

On Wednesday, one person was hospitalized after being hit by a car in the University area.

As per the initial information, the auto-pedestrian crash took place at Central Avenue and Deloach Street at about 5:49 p.m. The early reports showed that a vehicle struck one person for undetermined reasons. On arrival, emergency crews rushed the victim to St. Francis with non-fatal injuries.

The identity of the injured victim has not been revealed. The driver of the involved vehicle remained at the scene after the collision. Charges are unknown at this time. No other details are immediately available.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
