On Wednesday afternoon, one person was hospitalized following a multi-vehicle accident in Baton Rouge.
As per the initial information, officers actively responded to the area of Bluebonnet Boulevard after 5 p.m. in response to a three-vehicle wreck. On arrival, emergency responders freed one person who was trapped inside one of the vehicles.
The extrication process took 18 minutes. The victim was transported to the local hospital and is now listed in stable condition. All three vehicles involved had heavy damage after the accident. No additional information has been provided.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
