On Thursday, one person suffered injuries following a multi-vehicle accident on Interstate 10.
As per the initial information, the three-vehicle wreck took place at about 8 a.m. near the Beaumont Avenue off-ramp. The early reports showed that an Infinity SUV, a Rav-4, and a westbound big rig crashed at the off-ramp for undetermined reasons.
According to the eyewitnesses, vehicles clipped the SUV and led to the collision. The semi rolled over and ended up on its side, and at least one vehicle went over the center divider due to the accident. There were traffic delays on the eastbound I-10 as crews worked at the scene.
The driver of the SUV had injuries to his arm. The incident did not lead to any other injuries. Officials rerouted westbound I-10 traffic to North Highland Springs and there was traffic blockage up until 9 a.m. No other details are made available.
