1 person injured after a motorcycle crash in Santa Barbara (Santa Barbara, CA)

On Thursday afternoon, one person suffered serious injuries following a two-vehicle collision in Santa Barbara.

As per the initial information, the motorcycle crash took place just after 2 p.m. in the 300 block of East Cabrillo Boulevard. The early reports showed that a truck and a motorcycle crashed into each other for undetermined reasons. The force of the collision caused the man to lose his helmet and fly approximately 30 feet through the air.

The male motorcyclist sustained head and other injuries as a result of the crash. The victim was provided medical aid at the scene by paramedics, and then rushed to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital with serious injuries. The identity of the injured victim has not been revealed. No further details were provided.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
