1 person injured after a motorcycle crash in Antelope Valley (Antelope Valley, CA)

On Saturday night, one person received injuries following a two-vehicle collision in Antelope Valley.

As per the initial information, the motorcycle crash took place at 4:36 p.m. on 116th Street and East Avenue T near the Jackrabbit Flats Wildlife Sanctuary. The early reports showed that a speeding motorcyclist was going recklessly before slamming into a white GMC pickup truck. The motorcycle rider suffered significant head trauma and was unconscious but breathing.

A helicopter responded to airlift the victim to a hospital. Authorities announced a Sig Alert, shutting down East Avenue T from 116th Street East to 106th Street East. At approximately 7:40 p.m., officers canceled the Sig Alert. No additional information has been provided by the officials.

The crash remains under investigation.
