1 person in critical condition after an auto-pedestrian crash in south Austin (Austin, TX)

One person received life-threatening injuries after being hit by a vehicle in south Austin.

As per the initial information, the auto-pedestrian collision took place at the intersection of West William Cannon Dr. and Cooper Ln. The intersection is close to South 1st Street. Authorities actively responded to the scene at about 8:30 p.m. Saturday night on reports of a vehicle vs. pedestrian crash.

On arrival, responders took one person to St. David’s South Austin Medical Center with critical, potentially life threatening injuries. It is unknown if the involved driver remained at the scene or not after the accident. No other details are available.

The incident remains under active review.
