1 person in critical condition after an auto-pedestrian collision in San Marcos (San Marcos, CA)

On Tuesday, one person suffered critical injuries after getting hit by a vehicle in San Marcos.

As per the initial information, officers actively responded to the area of 600 block of Woodward Street at 11:01 a.m. after getting reports of an auto-pedestrian crash. The early reports showed that a 23-year-old woman was traveling northbound on Woodward Street when a 19-year-old man entered the roadway in front of her vehicle and got hit by the vehicle.

On arrival, medics rushed the pedestrian to a hospital in critical condition. The driver remained unharmed in the accident. Officials believe that alcohol and drugs were not involved in the collision. No other details are immediately available.

The crash remains under investigation.
