On Monday evening, one person suffered critical injuries following a two-vehicle accident on Boulder Highway in Henderson.
As per the initial information, the bicycle crash took place at about 5:35 p.m. in the area of Sunset Road. On arrival, medical personnel rushed the bicycle rider to an area hospital with critical injuries. The northbound lanes of Boulder Highway were shut down from Merlayne Drive to Sunset Road as crews worked at the scene.
Motorists were asked to avoid the area. Officials have not provided any estimated time for the reopening of roads. Authorities believe that speed or impairment did not contribute to the accident. No additional information has been provided.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
