On Sunday afternoon, one person was hospitalized following a two-vehicle crash near Peppermill.
As per the initial information, the bicycle accident took place near the intersection of South Virginia and Linden streets at approximately 2 p.m. The early reports showed that a bicycle and a vehicle crashed into each other for reasons that are yet to be known.
On arrival, paramedics took the bicyclist to a hospital with minimal injuries. According to the officers, the bicycle rider was at fault as he was traveling the wrong way. Authorities confirmed a citation to the cyclist for going the wrong way. No other details are immediately available.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
