According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff, a hit-and-run accident occurred in Gardena on Sunday.
The crash happened at the intersection of Van Ness and Marine avenues at around 4:50 a.m.
The officials stated that an SUV and a silver Kia were involved in the multi-vehicle accident. The driver of the silver Kia was identified as the suspect.
The victim suffered major injuries and was rushed to the hospital with some back and neck issues.
According to the Deputies, the driver fled the scene and was later found taken into custody.
No additional information regarding the crash was provided by the Deputies.
