On Monday morning, a rollover accident involving a semi-truck left one person in a hospital and forced the closure of the eastbound lanes of the U.S. 60 near Surprise.
The early reports revealed that the driver of the semi-truck was taken to the hospital with unspecified injuries. The reports also stated that the road closure was further extended to Jomax Road on September 20.
For a short time, all eastbound traffic had to exit on Jomax Road. Later, the portion of the U.S. 60 in the west valley was back open again. The events that have led up to the wreck remain unknown at this time. No other details are immediately available.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
