On Wednesday afternoon, one person suffered injuries after getting hit by a vehicle in Zachary.
As per the initial information, the auto-pedestrian collision took place on Peairs Road. The early reports showed that a garbage truck worker was walking into oncoming traffic when they got struck by a vehicle.
On arrival, emergency personnel rushed the worker to a local hospital with unspecified injuries. At this time, it is unknown if the vehicle that hit the person stayed at the scene or not after the crash. No additional information has been provided by the authorities.
