1 person hospitalized after an auto-pedestrian collision in a Midway District intersection (San Diego, CA)

On early Thursday, one person suffered injuries after being struck by a truck in a Midway District intersection.

As per the initial information, the auto-pedestrian crash took place on Camino Del Rio and Hancock Street. The early reports revealed that a 69-year-old man driving a Ford F150 southbound on Camino Del Rio West hit the pedestrian when entering the intersection with Hancock Street on a green light.

The pedestrian was reportedly walking westbound in the middle of the intersection at that time. The victim suffered a fractured pelvis and he was transported to an area hospital for treatment. The man’s injuries were not considered to be life-threatening.

The incident did not lead to any other injuries. Alcohol was not involved in the accident. The identity of the pedestrian has not been revealed at this time. No other details are made available.

The incident remains under investigation.
