On Saturday, one person suffered injuries after a traffic collision in North County that also sparked a vegetation fire.
As per the initial information, the single-vehicle crash took place at about 6:39 p.m. near Interstate 15 and Old Highway 395. According to the authorities, the fire was triggered when a vehicle flipped over in San Diego’s Deer Springs neighborhood.
On arrival, emergency crews transported the single occupant of the vehicle to the hospital with unspecified injuries. Two northbound lanes on Interstate 15 were blocked for multiple hours as crews worked at the scene, but have since been reopened. No other details are available.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
