The Tonopah Police Department reported a motor vehicle crash on Wednesday morning. The accident happened on Interstate 10 close to 339th Avenue at around 6:30 p.m. The collision involved two semi-trucks.

One person passed away there and one was examined but didn’t require hospitalisation. The name and identity of the victim have not been made public yet.

I-10’s eastbound lanes are still blocked off. The exact time that the lanes will open again is unknown. There are still open lanes heading west.

Authorities are still trying to determine what caused the collision. The fatal crash inquiry is still ongoing.
