The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office reported a motor vehicle crash on Monday. The accident happened on SR 9.
The accident involved two midsize sedans and a commercial concrete pumping truck. The events leading up to the accident are not yet known at this time.
One vehicle was on fire when emergency personnel arrived. The driver of that vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene after crews put out the fire. The other driver was taken to the hospital in a non-critical condition. The names and identities of the victims have not been made public yet.
The fatal crash is being investigated by the officials. It is unsure who caused the collision and how it happened. Whether drugs or alcohol were involved is yet to be found. From the Bickford Avenue roundabout to Second Street, State Route 9 is closed.
