The Albuquerque Police Department reported a motor vehicle crash on Tuesday evening. According to APD, the accident happened close to 10400 cross bypass NW, near Texas Roadhouse Steakhouse and Longhorn at around 3:45 p.m.
One person was declared dead at the scene. The passenger was transported to the hospital with nonsevere injuries. The names and identities of the victims have not been made public.
It is unclear how many cars were involved in the crash. The events leading up to the accident are not yet known at this time. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the accident.
The fatal crash is being investigated by the officials. Northbound lanes on Coors Bypass close to Cottonwood mall are shut down for several hours.
