The Albuquerque Police Department reported a motor vehicle crash on Saturday. The collision involved two vehicles. Around 7 a.m. on Saturday, an officer saw a collision at Unser Boulevard and Vista Alegre Street NW, according to the APD.
A Ford F150 was driving north in the right lane on Unser. While moving south on Unser, the officer noticed a Toyota Camry turning left from Vista Alegre Street. The Camry started moving south in the lanes of Unser going north.
When the fatal collision occurred, the officer was about to report the wrong-way driver. The driver of the Camry passed away at the scene, but the driver of the Ford was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening wounds. The identities of both victims have not been made known.
The crash is still being investigated. There are no other details available at this time.
