According to the Memphis Police Department, a motor vehicle accident was reported.
The officials stated that a car was mangled beneath an 18-wheeler truck.
The officials revealed that the crash happened at around 3:30 a.m. in the 3700 block of Austin Peay and Joslyn.
A man was confirmed to be dead by the MPD.
The officials are investigating the fatal crash to determine whether drugs, alcohol or distracted driving was the factor involved in the crash.
The identity of the deceased victim is awaited by the police.
