According to the Santa Clara Police, a fatal collision occurred early Saturday morning.
The officials stated that at around 6:55 a.m. the crash happened on Lawrence Expressway between Monroe St. and Cabrillo Avenue.
One person was found dead on the road by the officials.
The Police did not reveal the identity of the deceased victim.
Santa Clara Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
The authorities closed the Lawrence Expressway for further investigation of the crash.
Police are unsure whether drugs or alcohol were involved in the crash.
