1 person died after an auto-pedestrian accident in northeast Austin (Austin, TX)

On Thursday morning, one person was killed after being struck by a car in northeast Austin.

As per the initial information, the fatal auto-pedestrian accident took place at 2700 E. U.S. 290, close to Cameron Road and Berkman Drive. The preliminary investigation showed that a car struck a pedestrian for reasons that are yet to be known.

The pedestrian, whose identity has not been released, suffered major injuries and was declared dead by the officials. It is unclear if the involved driver remained at the scene after the collision. The circumstances surrounding the crash are under review. No other details are immediately available.

An investigation is underway.
