1 person died after a traffic collision in Oakland (Oakland, CA)

One person was killed after a traffic collision Sunday in Oakland.

As per the initial information, the two-vehicle crash took place at about 9 p.m. near the westbound Bay Bridge toll plaza. Authorities actively responded to the location after getting reports of the accident at 9:02 p.m.

The preliminary reports showed that a vehicle slammed into a barrier and flipped over. At some point of time, it hit another vehicle. On arrival, responders found someone in cardiac arrest and attempted lifesaving measures, but the victim died at the scene. No other details are available.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
