On Sunday morning, a traffic accident took the life of one person on the Pomona (60) Freeway in Monterey Park.
As per the initial information, the fatal incident took place at around 4:50 a.m. on the eastbound freeway at Atlantic Boulevard in which at least two vehicles were involved. A representative for the coroner’s office was called to the scene at 5:21 a.m.
The events that have led up to the accident remain unknown at this time. It is also unclear if anyone received injuries as a result of the collision. A Sig Alert was announced at 5:06 a.m. blocking all eastbound lanes at Atlantic Boulevard for at least one hour.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
