The New Orleans Police Department responded to a bicycle crash that claimed a life.
Officials say the man riding his bike on the northbound sidewalk near I-610 lost control of the bicycle and fell onto Elysian Fields Avenue’s southbound lane.
He was struck by a vehicle.
The vehicle driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigators.
No further information regarding the crash is currently available.
An investigation into the crash is under review.
