Officers responded to a motor vehicle crash that claimed a life and injured two others. The crash happened on I-20 eastbound at Turner Hill Road around 2:15 a.m.
According to the officers, three people who were involved in an accident were hit by another car. The car occupants were standing outside their vehicles when they were hit by another car.
Upon the arrival of the officers, the victims were found on both sides of the interstate.
Officials said a 21-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. The other victims- one in her 20s and the other in her 40s were transported to the hospital in critical condition.
Both eastbound and westbound on I-20 were shut down for further investigations.
It is unclear if any charges were filed.
The crash is being investigated.
