Louisiana State Police responded to a two-vehicle crash in Lafourche Parish that claimed a life and injured another.
A preliminary investigation reveals Alexis Crimiel, 19, of Thibodaux, stopped at Highway 182 in a Nissan Versa.
Crimiel entered the intersection and failed to yield to traffic. Crimiel was struck by an oncoming Mack Truck.
According to the troopers, both drivers were restrained during the crash.
Crimile sustained fatal injuries from the crash. The Mack Truck driver suffered minor injuries.
Routine toxicology samples were obtained and sent for further analysis.
Additional information regarding the crash is currently unavailable. An investigation into the crash is under review.
