At least one person died and several others were injured following a wreck Sunday afternoon in Pomona.
As per the initial information, the multi-vehicle accident took place just before 2:45 p.m. at the intersection of Valley Boulevard and Dupont Street. According to the authorities, multiple people were immediately taken to hospitals for treatment, though it is unknown how many people were injured.
One person, a male, reportedly succumbed to his injuries at the hospital. A few roads in the surrounding area were blocked during the investigation and cleanup. They were reopened again just prior to 9 p.m. The identity of the deceased will be released once the next of kin is notified. No other details are available.
The wreck remains under review.
