According to the San Jose Police Department, a fatal crash occurred in San Jose early Saturday morning.
The crash happened near the westbound lanes of the street at around 3:33 a.m.
According to the reports, a 2007 Toyota sedan driven by a man on Hellyer Avenue near Ridgebrook Way had run into three parked cars.
According to the officials, the pedestrian was hit by a 2000 Dodge truck while walking toward the roadway.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene by the officials.
The suspect was arrested and booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail; drugs or alcohol were the factors involved in the pedestrian crash.
No additional information regarding the crash was provided by the Deputies.
