1 person dead following a two-vehicle accident in Kern County (Kern County, CA)

On Saturday afternoon, one person was killed after a traffic collision in Kern County.

As per the initial information, the fatal two-vehicle crash took place at approximately 2:15 p.m. on Highway 33 and Highway 46 at Blackwells Corner. The early reports showed that a U-Haul truck pulling a vehicle rear-ended a semi-truck carrying liquefied petroleum. According to the officials, one person died as a result of the collision.

The northbound traffic on Highway 33 was blocked as crews worked at the scene. The eastbound and westbound traffic on Highway 46, as well as southbound Highway 33, remained open. No other details are immediately available.

The crash remains under investigation.
