On Friday morning, one person died while two others suffered injuries following a multi-vehicle wreck in north Phoenix.
As per the initial information, the three-vehicle accident took place near 52nd Street and Cactus Road. The early reports showed that a Chevy Equinox went over the center line into oncoming traffic and crashed head-on into another vehicle. The driver of the Chevy succumbed to their injuries at the scene.
The driver of the vehicle that got struck by the Chevy sustained critical injuries as a result of the collision. Officers reported that a third vehicle was sideswiped during the wreck, but the driver received only minimal injuries. No further details were provided.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
