One person was killed after being hit by a train early Monday morning in Pomona.
As per the initial information, crews actively responded to Second Street and Curran Place after getting reports of a pedestrian crash at 1am. The early reports showed that a train struck and killed a pedestrian. The identity of the deceased will be released once the next of kin is notified.
Pomona police advised there was a fatal incident and that it kept vehicles from crossing the tracks at First Street and Hamilton Boulevard as well as other train crossings along First Street. The crossings were reported clear at 4:30 a.m. No other details are available.
The accident remains under investigation.
