1 person dead after an auto-pedestrian crash on the 110 Freeway in South LA (Los Angeles, CA)

One person died after getting hit by a vehicle early Wednesday on the 110 Freeway in South Los Angeles.

As per the initial information, the fatal auto-pedestrian collision took place at about 1:30 a.m. in the lanes between the Exposition and the Adams Boulevard off-ramp. The early reports showed that a pedestrian was walking on the freeway when they were struck by an oncoming vehicle.

The drive involved stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigators. The identity of the deceased will be released once the next of kin is notified. Northbound lanes on the 110 Freeway were backed up earlier as lanes were blocked, but have since reopened. No other information is available.

The incident remains under review.
