1 person dead after an auto-pedestrian crash in Tacoma (Tacoma, WA)

On Saturday, one person was killed after being hit by a vehicle in Tacoma.

As per the initial information, the fatal auto-pedestrian crash took place at about 12:30 a.m. on Northbound State Route 7, just north of 100th Street South. The early reports showed that the driver of a Ford F-150 struck the person who was jaywalking on State Route 7.

On arrival, emergency personnel rushed the victim to a hospital, where they were later declared dead. Northbound lanes of SR-7 were shut down as crews worked at the scene. The identity of the deceased will be revealed once the next of kin is notified. No further details were provided.

The crash remains under review.
