1 person dead after an auto-pedestrian collision in Pittsburg (Pittsburg, TX)

On Monday night, one person was killed after getting hit by a vehicle in Pittsburg.

As per the initial information, the fatal auto-pedestrian collision took place on CR 4114. That is off of Hwy 271, in the vicinity of UT Health Pittsburg. The early reports showed that a vehicle hit one person for reasons that are yet to be known.

At this time, it is unknown what type of vehicle hit the victim. The pedestrian succumbed to their injuries after the crash. It is unclear if the victim died at the scene or after being taken to a hospital. Officers were at the scene as of 10:45 p.m. Monday. No other details are immediately available.

The incident remains under investigation.
