1 person dead after an auto-pedestrian collision in Marietta (Marietta, GA)

On Thursday, one person was killed after getting hit by a vehicle in Marietta.

As per the initial information, the fatal auto-pedestrian crash took place along I-75 south near the south 120 loop in Marietta a little before 3 a.m. The early reports showed that a vehicle struck one person for reasons that are yet to be known.

The identity of the deceased will be released once the next of kin is notified. It is unknown if the vehicle that hit the victim stayed at the scene or not after the collision. All lanes are back open in the area. No additional information has been provided.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
