On early Wednesday morning, one person died following a single-vehicle accident in Renton.
As per the initial information, the fatal car crash was reported just before 4 a.m. at East Valley Road and 16th Street. The early reports showed that an SUV swerved off the road for undetermined reasons and crashed into a tree.
The driver, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, died of their injuries after the collision. Officers said that roads in the area would be blocked to give way to the investigation. The identity of the deceased will be revealed once the next of kin is notified. No other details are immediately available.
The crash remains under investigation.
