1 person dead after a vehicle crashes into a tree in View Park-Windsor Hills (Los Angeles, CA)

On early Thursday morning, one person was killed after their vehicle crashed into a tree in View Park-Windsor Hills.

As per the initial information, the fatal car crash took place at 12:20 a.m. in the 5000 block of Angeles Vista Boulevard in View Park-Windsor Hills, an unincorporated area in the South Los Angeles region of Los Angeles County. The early reports showed that a dark colored two-door vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed when it slammed into a palm tree and rolled over.

The driver, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, suffered major injuries and was declared dead in the vehicle. Responders worked to extricate the person from the vehicle. Multiple agencies responded to the crash scene. No additional information has been provided by the officials.

The crash remains under investigation.
