On Friday, a man lost his life following a traffic collision in Bakersfield.
As per the initial information, the fatal two-vehicle crash was reported just before 5 a.m. at the intersection of Union Avenue and East California Avenue. The early reports showed that a car and a truck were involved in the accident.
On arrival, emergency crews transported the man driving the car to a local hospital with moderate injuries. The truck driver was also rushed to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead. At this time, it is unknown if drugs and alcohol were involved in the collision. No other details are available.
The crash remains under investigation.
