1 person dead after a two-vehicle collision in San Antonio (San Antonio, TX)

On Wednesday afternoon, one person was killed following a two-vehicle collision in San Antonio.

As per the initial information, the fatal car crash took place on Interstate 10. The preliminary reports showed that two people in a pickup truck stopped at the center median after facing an issue with their vehicle. That flatbed truck was transporting a load of lumber and bags of cement at that time.

The driver of the pickup truck decided to cross the freeway to exit at Fresno when the truck slammed into a white car. The driver of that car was declared dead at the scene by the officials. The occupants of the truck remained unharmed in the accident.

Officers do not expect to file any charges in the incident. A portion of Interstate 10 East was shut down as crews worked at the scene. The identity of the deceased will be revealed once the next of kin is notified. No other details are immediately available.

The crash remains under investigation.
