1 person dead after a two-vehicle accident in Summerlin (Las Vegas, NV)

One person was killed following a traffic collision Thursday in Summerlin.

As per the initial information, the fatal two-vehicle crash took place on Rampart Blvd and Tournament Hills Drive just before 7:30 p.m. The early reports showed that a car and a truck were involved in the accident. The driver, a 50-year-old man, of the car was declared dead after being transported to the hospital.

It is unknown if the crash caused any injuries. The events that have led up to the accident also remain unclear at this time. The identity of the deceased will be released once the next of kin is notified. No other details are available.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
